Its all about the jobs, stupid
Even though I am repeating what I have said before, I think it needs repeating because nobody is listening. In a recession or when the economy is bad, the government can take only some actions as the economy is not run by the government but rather by the people. The actions that the government can take are as follows:
Its time we thought about the country and not politics
The interim budget presented yesterday was a total washout. This is again another example of what the priorities of politicians are. They think of politics first and everything else comes later.
There are still some who think before acting
In todays recessionary times, it is clear that people are going to lose jobs. However, before we fire people, some other options should be evaluated.
Never believe what politicians say
I remember sometime back Finance Minister Chidabaram said that Indian economy is strong and not to worry too much about the financial crisis. He has led a lot of people to believe that India will not be affected badly.
A simple solution to the financial crisis
I agree with the majority of the American people that there should no more bailouts. Why? Because that is not a solution. We have already seen that noone knows where the $350 billion went. The problem is the economy as a whole and not any individual industry. You cannot bail out one industry because the American economy is not dependent on any one industry.
