Even Chidabaram questions Airtel’s service

We are all fed up with poor service of telecom companies including Airtel. I have been billed for Hello Tunes and caller identification charges on my phones without my permission. I keep getting robo calls. Now even the finance minister Mr. Chidabaram is fed up with drop calls. He was so dissatisfied that he lodged in a complaint as an ordinary customer with the Airtel customer care and even asked Airtel’s chairman Sunil Mittal whom he met at the NDTV Profit Business Award function on Oct 7, 2008, “When will the calls not drop at Lutyen’s Delhi?” Mittal’s response was, “We are constantly trying to fix our network. It may sound very boring but spectrum is an issue especially for cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta and Hyderabad where intensity is high.”

My question to Sunil Mittal would be very simple, “Why are you selling more connections when you know that your network cannot support new subscribers?” Airtel cannot sell more than what it can support at the desired service levels. Airtel should limit its subscriber base depending on the amount of spectrum it has. One of the major reasons for call drops is that telecom companies are not making the desired investments in their network.

I am the customer of the airtel from more than two years. Firstly I got very sincere service from it but around 6-7 months past it become very dull. There are more call drops in the service and most of the time I talk with the customer care service but they are not given me the satisfying answer. And one of executive Mr. Pramode is just talking so rudely and disconnecting my call. And after than he never picks my call. Most of the time there executive is just kept on the hold and disconnecting after some time. i have facing lots of problem with there call dropping and when i talk regarding that they are replying the problem is of your handset but even after changing the handset it is not solving and they are not clearing it sometime thought that to through the sim but now it won’t possible because now my number is spreading allover and it will creating lots of problem but airtel don’t concerned about that they have to make and spreading business by getting new customer they don’t have to take care of existing one …..
I am not only one person who have this same problem there are lots of person who facing the same problem………


I am post paid custmer of Airtel conection. Airtel do not send any bills to me for last three months, we already talk with custmer service center but they are simply said we already send. but we were any received bills from Airtel office and they dissconcted my cell with out any bills send to me. this is bad service.

Do you have any record of your complaints to Airtel that you have not received the invoices. If you have, I think you should take Airtel to consumer court. There already has been a case where the court has held this as deficiency in service.

I have stated on my website that as soon as you start having problems with any company, you should start noting down details of who and when you talk to somebody. If you have details, you will be able to fight back back otherwise you will be left hanging dry.

I have an AIRTEL connection of Chattisgarh/MP. Now, I am
on transfer to AP. For some days I wanted to continue my
mobile number for communication. Meanwhile I got a very
big problem and I wanted to complain the matter to AIRTEL
customer care. But the number 9893012345 is not functioning because of other circle. I tried 121 and systemised voice response is asking for enter your choice even without listing the choices. if we enter any number from 1 to 5 system is replying you have entered a wrong choice. Then I opened AIRTEL customer care site and dialed
the number 9810198101 ( toll free from any AIRTEL mobile)
but I am charged for the call without any response.
If this is the plight of service from a multicrore mobile
company how the owner Mr Mittal is boasting off the services given by his company. The company is projecting
false figures and attracting gullible mobile seekers into their fold. If my complaint is not redressed immediately
i will proceed to MRTP commission and TRAI and see that
the AIRTEL i.e., BHARTI is wounded up for poor customer
